The District Perfect Weight Tee is our fan favorite. And for all the right reasons — it’s made in 100% cotton and is therefore gentle to your skin. When worn it feels soft and flexible. It’s the best of both worlds, you can wear it all day indoors or outdoors without worrying about sweat or an unpleasant odor.
Can you guess what color is always on-trend? Black. So, if you’re on a search for that, this t-shirt has what you’re looking for. We’re talking blacks that are deeper, brighter, and more saturated than any other brand currently has to offer.
You’ll be surprised to hear that District also offers a range of other intense colors like red, pink, or purple you can choose from. Along with that, this t-shirt is a really great true-to-size fit. So, you can buy it in your regular size!

Our second most popular shirt for printing is the Port & Company Essential Tee. You should go for this because it’s made of pure (100%) cotton — it’s breathable and subtle enough for everyday use — it will keep you cool and comfortable each and every day!
It must be pointed out though… the t-shirt itself lacks a tiny bit in color when compared to the District brand. The color is more muted, not as rich. Yet, despite the muted color, it’s among the best-sellers! It comes in at a lower price point, so you definitely get your money’s worth.
For a fit, it’s a little oversized and has that lovely rough feeling! We would NOT recommend choosing your true size when purchasing this tee. Instead, we recommend you to size down.

The third most popular shirt for DTG printing (and our personal favorite) is the District Perfect Tri DTG Shirt. And for a number of reasons — before all else — it’s specifically designed for direct-to-garment printing.
The best part? It’s already pre-treated! So, not only are you skipping the cost with pre-treat, but you’re also saving yourself a ton of time. On top of that, this t-shirt comes in nine (9) different colors for you to choose from.
Speaking of price… this tee is priced higher than the others. BUT, you have to count on the fact that you’re skipping the pre-treat step here. It makes a huge difference when it comes to big production.
When it comes to fit, it’s somewhere in between the previous tees we talked about. It’s not quite as fitted as the other District shirt, but it’s not quite as oversized as the Port & Company shirt either.

The fourth most popular shirt for decorating is the Gildan Heavy Cotton Tee. And it has a lot going for it. Well made from 100% natural cotton, this t-shirt provides long-lasting comfort throughout the day, no matter what you’re doing.
In terms of feel and weight, it’s very similar to the Port & Company tee — it has that lovely rough texture — but is still delicate, breathable, and easy to care for!
Gildan comes with a subtle boxy fit, so it’s comfortably oversized. All things considered, it’s a great value t-shirt for DTG printing.
Now before you start shopping there are a couple things to keep in mind about this list.
• The temperature and season (this article is being written at the end of winter in the beginning of Spring, this could be why two long sleeve shirts ranked on our list)
• What brand is trending (Sometimes a specific brand can become popular with your customers. This could determine what is purchased)
• What is in stock! We all know stock issues are apparent and what’s in stock and ready to ship is going to always be more popular than hard-to-find items.
