Colman and Company has determined Hotfix Rhinestones to be a �general use product'. Per CPSC definition:

�General use products are consumer products that are not designed or intended primarily for use by children 12 years of age or younger. Some products may be designed or intended for use by consumers of all ages, including children 12 years old or younger. Such products would be considered "general use products." If a consumer older than 12 years of age is as likely, or more likely, to interact with a product than a child 12 years of age or younger, then the product would probably be considered a general use product, depending upon how the product is viewed, using all of the four factors above. Products used by children 12 years of age or younger that have a declining appeal for teenagers are likely to be considered children's products.�

In some cases our customers may be re-selling hotfix rhinestones to decorate apparel to be sold to children. Some colors of HotFix Rhinestones may contain lead; therefore Colman and Company completes a Total Lead Content test (CPSC-CH-E1002-08) through a certified CPSC laboratory.

The following Hotfix Rhinestone colors meet low lead requirements(ECFR 1500.89) of being less than 100PPM of Lead(Pb), however, NOT all sizes comply. Please read the next two paragraphs:

Colman and Company has been advised by the manufacturer that the following Hotfix Rhinestones were manufactured above 100PPM of Lead(Pb) - (due to either color or manufacturing date); therefore we do not test these rhinestones and they should not be used when needing to comply with CPSC Total Lead Content standards.
