HeatSEAL will be your answer for smaller runs of
patches, emblems, and badges. This film will be attached to
the backside of a finished embroidered image.
It's recommended to accompany our 'Patch-Mat' material,
giving you the ability to cut out the patch with a hot knife.
All edges will be nicely sealed. The finished edge will not
look quite like a patch that has gone through a 'merrowing' machine but will stay together and be the best you can produce in
smaller quantities from start to finish.
HeatSEAL can then give the end-user the choice to
iron-on or heat-press the patch to the garment(textile) or become a
'sewn-on' patch. A hook-n-loop type attachment is also a viable choice.
Comes as a roll, 19" wide by 10 yards long.
Also available in one-yard sheets and a 100-yard roll.
Product thickness: 7mil
To bond HeatSEAL to the back of the emblem/patch material:
320-330 degrees / 40-50 psi / 10 seconds press time/flip and press again
To bond patch to garment:
320-330 degrees / 60-80 psi / 10-15 seconds press time on
the front side/flip and press from the back side 20-25 seconds
Extra information - The HeatSEAL glue product has two somewhat discernible sides,
but there is no difference from one side to the other.
This is simply a flat sheet of heat-activated glue.
- Please do not use on Leather. There are natural 'oils' in leather that will loosen the HeatSEAL material, resulting in a failure to bond.
- You can use a clothing hand-iron if you need to. Set the iron to the setting just above 'Wool'.
